PART A -  ASSOCIATE’S DEGREE OR EQUIVALENT

To enter the Jackson Community College/Franklin University program, you must meet one of the following admissions criteria:

Associate’s degree in:
check mark Emergency Medical
    Services
check mark Corrections
check mark Law Enforcement  (with 24
    hrs of CRJ credit)
   

or  

Other AA, AS, AGS or AAS degree with 24 semester hours in  Public Safety Technology credit

or 

Completion of 60 semester hours with 24 semester hours in  Public Safety Technology credit and a 2.5 GPA.

Public Safety Technical Area:

   24 semester hours in an approved public safety discipline.

Elective Bridge Courses (taken at Jackson Community College)  
Non-development level courses taken at JCC and not applied directly toward another Bridge requirement will be applied to this area.  An official evaluation of transfer credit will determine the need for electives.  If you need additional courses to meet the 124 semester hour minimum required for a Bachelor/s degree, please select business, computer or public safety-related courses from those offered at JCC.  Other courses may be acceptable in this area.  Please see a JCC advisor or Franklin University SSA for approval prior to taking the course.   


FRANKLIN UNIVERSITY  
PART C - CAPSTONE (40 semester hours)

The following Capstone courses are available online and must be taken through Franklin’s Community College Alliance program.  All students must take Franklin's orientation course, PF 321 Learning Strategies, prior to other online courses at Franklin.  It is recommended to take PH 321 before beginning bridge courses at your community college.  Degree-seeking students must meet all the requirements for the degree(s) and major program(s) in effect at the time they declare in writing a specific degree and major and earn credit toward a degree by taking PH 321.
