- Cindy Allen has worked full-time since the age of 17, but continued her education on a part-time basis as she worked, married and started a family. She began working at Jackson Community College in 1980 under Lloyd Weldy in the performing arts area, starting a few months before the Music Hall opened. Cindy later went on to receive her Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Siena Heights University and most recently, a Master’s in Organizational Leadership from Siena Heights University.
- While the performing arts is still Cindy’s passion, she is also responsible for public relations for JCC and oversees the marketing department, office of multi-cultural relations, auxiliary services at JCC and most recently, student housing.
- Cindy is active in the community and volunteers her fundraising and event planning skills to many organizations, including the American Red Cross, the United Way, the JCC Foundation, Ella Sharp Museum, and is a board member for the Jackson Host Lions Club. Cindy was also recognized this year as JCC’s Outstanding Administrator.
- She has been married to her husband Bill for 28 years, lives in the Western School District, has three great children, David 25, Tom 19 and Chelsey 17, and one granddaughter, Addison, who can do no wrong. Tom is currently in his second year at JCC, and Chelsey is a senior at Western High School.
