William Patterson

  • Graduated from Lumen Christi High School in 1989
  • Earned an associate degree in science from JCC in 1991 while working part-time in the circulation department at the Jackson Citizen Patriot
  • Graduated from Eastern Michigan University majoring in history and African-American Studies with a minor in mathematics. Certified to teach history and mathematics. Worked at the Ann Arbor News as an assistant district manager in the circulation department
  • Student taught at the Middle School at Parkside and was hired for a mathematics position
  • Completed a masters degree in education at Spring Arbor University
  • Hired as assistant principal at Hunt Elementary in November, 2000
  • Assigned as the building principal at Wilson Elementary in September, 2001
  • Assigned as the associate principal at the Middle School at Parkside in June, 2003. Was appointed to principal for instruction in August 2008
  • Currently awaiting acceptance into the K-12 educational administration doctoral program at Michigan State University
  • Married to Terri Patterson, with children Danielle, 18, Kobe, 11, and Taylor, 2
