Resident Assistants at Jackson College

Resident Assistants (RA) facilitates the social, academic, and personal adjustment of students to the residence hall and Jackson College. RA’s develops a sense of community among residents as members of a floor, residents of a hall, and active participants in the residence life system. The RA serves as a positive role model to residents and peer staff members and enforces the rules and policies of residence life and housing.

I also understand that in order to be offered a resident assistant position I must meet the minimum grade point average of a 2.5 and be in good standing with the College (no ongoing discipline issues, outstanding monies due to the college, etc).

    Do not forget to submit two letters of reference. Candidates who are offered a resident assistant position must have a 2.5 GPA and be in good standing with the College. Housing reserves the right to rescind an offer of employment should a candidate fail to meet the above requirements or for any reason that the office may deem necessary. Housing also reserves the right to hire outside of the above qualifications based on the needs of the community and based on professional judgment.
