Chicks with Hits brings 3 great country artists to Jackson

October 7, 2019

Three of country music’s biggest female stars will come together for one night only on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 7 p.m. when the Chicks with Hits concert featuring Terri Clark, Pam Tillis and Suzy Bogguss comes to the Potter Center at Jackson College.

This triple play of talent is unparalleled: Clark, Tillis and Bogguss have a combined 36 top 10 singles and have sold over 10 million records between them. With numerous Grammy, ACM, CMA and CCMA awards, their talent shines. Ultimately, though, they say it’s about three friends singing great songs together. Clark, Tillis and Bogguss met during their rise on the country charts in the 1990s and forged friendships, always focusing on what matters most, music.

“I had been thinking about putting together an all-female package like this for a few years,” Terri Clark notes. “There is a shortlist of women who can play and sing and have the hits to back it up. Pam and Suzy were a great fit.”

Bogguss elaborates, “All three of us have kept sight of the things that made us love making music in the first place — the love of singing, and the desire to make people feel something with the songs. And we’re hams! Anybody could tell that we love what we do! We are going to have BIG FUN and those we have the opportunity to share it with will too!”

Enjoy popular hits from these “chicks,” such as “Poor, Poor, Pitiful Me,” “Better Things to Do,” “Outbound Plane,” “Someday Soon,” “Mi Vida Loca” and “When You Walk in the Room.”
