Coming together to fight a community problem:
6th Annual Substance Abuse Night planned

Jackson College will host a Sixth Annual Substance Abuse Night forum Wednesday, Oct. 23 from 7-9 p.m. in Bert Walker Hall, Rooms 144-145.
College and community members are invited to attend. Learn about problems with substance abuse today and hear from community members committed to fighting this challenge. Learn more about the physiological effect on the body and mind of opioids and alcohol, as well as the battles faced by those addicted, their family and friends. Hear inspiring stories of recovery and local efforts to help. Guest panel will include:
- Honorable John G. McBain, Jackson County Circuit Court judge
- Golden Gibson, community member and business owner, South Street Salvage & Body Works
- Dr. John Maino, emergency medicine doctor, Henry Ford Allegiance Health
All students, staff and community members are welcome at this free event. This Substance Abuse Night event is sponsored by the Christian Student Club at Jackson College. Refreshments will be served.
