Pre-film discussion and showing of “Detroit” (2017) on Feb. 26, at 7:30 p.m. in the Jets Hangar.
During Black History Month, this event discusses an important moment in Michigan Black History, the Detroit uprising of 1967. Fact-based drama set during the uprising in which a group of rogue police officers responds to a complaint with retribution rather than justice on their minds. The pre-film discussion will include audio recordings of people interviewed who witnessed the Detroit uprising of ’67.
The discussion begins at 7:30 p.m., this event is free and open to the public. Free movie night sponsored by the Office of Student Life and Housing. All students welcome to this free event.
