Pride Month Ceremony

The College will celebrate Pride Month at noon Tuesday, June 28, at the flag memorial off Emmons Road. Learn more about Pride Month while the College raises a pride flag. Several speakers will discuss the significance of the flag(s) and pride month. Employees and the community are invited.

Looking ahead, Jackson College students and employees are invited to attend and/or participate in the Jackson Pride Festival, set for Saturday, Aug. 20 from 3-8 p.m. in Horace Blackman Park in downtown Jackson. The first festival was put on by the Jackson Pride Center in 2018, and this is the first time the event has taken place in-person since 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Plans are still in the works, but the free festivities will begin with a march at 3 p.m. starting at Consumers Energy Plaza. Attendees will march down West Michigan Avenue toward Horace Blackman Park for the day’s events.
