Meet Alexys. As a non-traditional aged college student, Alexys Ray juggles many financial responsibilities. Jackson College’s affordability and scholarship availability make a big difference.

“A scholarship from the Jackson College Foundation granted me the opportunity to focus more on my studies and achieve higher grades. It took away the burden of worrying if I can afford to continue attending college minus the accumulation of loans,” she said.

Ray began here students at Jackson College in 2015. She has completed an assocate degree in general studies, and plans to complete her associate degree in business administration in December 2017. In addition to affordability, the College’s great repution and closeness to home made it very attractive.

Ray, of Napoleon, is thankful for all she has experienced. “Being part of Jackson College’s community offers remarkable opportunity. Through meaningful activities, such as participating in the Heritage Center film production of the remembrance of Zenneth Arthur Pond, a courageous friend of the W.J. Maher – in which the North Campus is named after. From helping my peers with their academic writing skills and being a member of the Writing Fellows tutoring program, to even being a student employee.”
