Meet Emily. Following in her mother’s footsteps, Emily Mooney chose Jackson College for her education. “My mom went to Jackson College and had a positive experience, which inspired me as well.”
The College offered an easy transition into college life, while also preparing students for the real world. “It is a friendly environment and it is very affordable compared to starting off at a university.”
Mooney, of Leslie, works as a student employee for the Jackson College Foundation, and she also works at a daycare center. “I have had a positive experience so far and am looking forward to my future years here at Jackson College.”
She is thankful for her college scholarship because, even with working, the costs of tuition, books and other needs can add up quickly.
“My scholarship helped me purchase my books for my classes, and my calculator for my math classes that I can use in the years to come. I would not have been able to easily afford these things if it had not been for my scholarship.”
