Nicholas Shutt, a 2018 Northwest High graduate, looks forward to becoming an engineer someday. He wants to get there without taking on too much student debt.
Choosing Jackson College was affordable, and receiving the George and Barbara Raven Student Aid Fund Scholarship, in addition to the Jackson Legacy Scholarship, keeps his out-of-pocket costs manageable.
“Receiving scholarships means that I can be more successful in school, since I won’t have to work as much during the school year and can therefore focus on schoolwork,” he said. “Also, scholarships are helping me avoid debt.”
