Meet Peggy. Peggy Reimers enrolled at Jackson College because of its great nursing program, as well as being affordable and close to her Michigan Center home.
As a mother of four young children, going to school and working part-time outside the home, scholarships ease the burden. “Being in school takes time and money away from my children. Scholarships ease some of that guilt and pave an easier path for my entire family on this journey,” Reimers said.
As a student at the College, Reimers has found staff and faculty who genuinely care and are wise and talented.
“Jackson College has helped me find myself. I’ve formed some terrific relationships with students and staff alike. The faith the instructors have in me, the hope my fellow students and I have for our futures, and the love I’ve found here is truly life-changing.”
Reimers said he has been repeatedly – and tenderly – pushed out of her comfort zone. While not always easy, she recognizes this is where the greatest growth occurs. “Being surrounded by academics has changed my way of thinking and broadened by world view. I will remember my time at Jackson College as one of the toughest and most rewarding experiences of my life.
“We have the best of the best right here. If I was offered a scholarship anywhere else in the world, I would still choose Jackson College!”
