Leadership Academy

Jackson College recognizes the importance of investing in and developing our employees.  We understand and appreciate the increasing need to develop leaders within our college.

The impact of professional development on the success of employees and maintaining employee satisfaction is a priority at Jackson College, therefore, the third annual Leadership Academy is scheduled to begin on February 12, 2019.

Individuals interested in advancing their careers and moving into future leadership positions may express their interest by applying to the Leadership Academy.  Individuals may also be nominated to participate.  The program will be held from mid-February to mid-May and will meet once per week on Tuesdays from 1 – 4:30 p.m.  Approximately 15 individuals with two or more years of service will be selected to participate in the 2019 program.

Attendees will be expected to participate in group discussions and attend every session in order to fully realize the benefits of the program.  In addition to engaging discussions on a variety of topics from Jackson College’s Leaders and professional development, participants will select, research and complete a Stretch Project and report out to the Leadership Committee.  Participants will also be in an active book club reading the current books that the Leadership Committee is reading.
