Home / Campus News / JC to host TEDx event in 2026: Apply now to speak!
Michigan is known for ideas that have changed history! Jackson College welcomes speakers to keep that innovative spirit alive by speaking at the first-ever TEDx Jackson College – By MI Design event, coming April 16, 2026, from 4-7 p.m. in the Michael Baughman Theatre, Potter Center.
TEDx events are independently organized programs licensed by TED that bring people together to share ideas worth spreading. TEDxJackson College will feature local voices and stories presented in the signature TED Talk format, inspiring our community with fresh perspectives and meaningful conversations. The theme—By MI Design—reflects intention, identity, and transformation, with voices from Jackson College and communities across the state.
The TEDxJackson College website is officially live and ready for your ideas worth spreading. Interested speakers should complete an interest form; submissions are open until Nov. 16. Selected applicants will be notified by mid-December and invited to participate in speaker training.
Visit jccmi.edu/tedx to learn more about the theme, By MI Design, and how to apply.
