Making education more affordable: Online learning fees waived for winter, spring semesters

January 7, 2021

Jackson College continues to make online learning more affordable by providing student scholarships to cover online class fees. This means one less expense for students as they study safely at home.

Jackson College continues to offer predominantly online learning as the COVID-19 pandemic continues. The College awarded students emergency scholarships in 2020 and will continue since online learning comes at a higher cost. Students registered for winter and spring semesters will have an automatic online learning scholarship applied directly to their accounts.

“We want to do all we can to help our students continue their education and be successful,” said Darrell Norris, Chief Financial & Auxiliary Enterprise Officer. “Making education more affordable is important during difficult times.”

The winter semester begins Monday, Jan. 11 at Jackson College. With full 15-week, seven-week and five-week classes, students may select the courses that best fit their schedule.

  • Five-week sessions begin Jan. 11, Feb. 15 and March 30.
  • Seven-week sessions begin Jan. 11 and March 15.
  • 15-week sessions begin Jan. 11.
