Summer Theatre Camp

Dates: June 19 – 29, 2023 (Monday – Thursday each week)
Time: 2 – 4 p.m.
Ages: 12 – 18, any level of experience
Cost: $100 per camper
Concert: June 29 at Jackson College

Summer is the perfect time for young people to explore their creativity! Explore improvisation methods used at Chicago’s Second City to perform a scripted scene. Focus on improv and memorization skills to enhance character development, while having a ton of fun!

Camp led by Second City Alumni & Jackson College Theatre Instructor Sara Anne Tomczak, experienced actress now appearing on NBC’s “Chicago Fire.”

Waiver

While we strive to provide a safe environment, we cannot control what you child will come in contact with because of the open environment on a college campus.
  • You agree to waive, release, discharge and/or relinquish all claims or accrued costs you may have as a result of your child participating in this camp against Jackson College, its Board of Trustees, officers, representatives, agents, and employees.
  • You further agree to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend Jackson College, its Board of Trustees, officers, representatives, agents, and employees from any and all claims resulting from injuries, damages and losses sustained by your child and arising out of, connected with or in any way associated with the activities in this camp.
  • In the event of an emergency, if the College is unable to contact one of the individuals identified as the emergency contact(s), you authorize Jackson College staff to secure from any licensed hospital, physician and/or medical personnel any treatment deemed necessary for your child’s immediate care and agree to be responsible for payment of any and all charges for medical services rendered.

Media Release

  • As a parent/guardian of a participant in this program you authorize and acknowledge permission for any video, digital or still photography made with their child’s image to be applied to a variety of uses by Jackson College. Such uses may include, but are not limited to, in-house training of staff and students, college Web pages, broadcasting and/or other forms of electric transmission.
  • You release Jackson College, its Board of Trustees, officers, representatives, agents, and employees of from any claims (monetary or otherwise) that you may have related to the use of these images.
