JC Foundation

Thank you for visiting the JC Foundation and Office of Institutional Advancement page. JC Foundation was founded in 1983 to provide support for the students, people and programs of Jackson College. For nearly 30 years, the Foundation has remained true to its mission of providing access to the transformational learning experiences that occur at JC. Examples of the Foundation’s support of the College include student scholarships, excellence grants, capital/construction support and student and employee assistance programs.

The Foundation’s endowment earnings and donor contributions are used to award nearly 200 scholarships a year to JC students. These awards total nearly $200,000 and provide students with funding to make their educational goals a reality. The Foundation also is responsible for managing the Harriet Myer Student Emergency Fund. This fund is designed to provide funding for students who find themselves in unexpected emergency situations and need financial support to continue in school.

The JC Foundation also provides support to faculty and staff through Foundation grants and the Employee Benevolence Assistance fund, which like the student emergency fund, helps employees who find themselves in unexpected emergencies.

The Foundation is governed by a 22 member board of directors made up of community and business leaders.
