Home / Academics / Credit for Prior Learning / Advanced Placement Advanced Placement Many students take AP exams through the College Board during high school. At Jackson College, a score of 4 or higher on most AP exams will earn academic credit, and in some cases, a score of 3 may also qualify for credit. To be eligible for Credit for Prior Learning (CPL), prospective students must first apply to Jackson College and receive a student ID number. Credit for prior learning cannot be awarded until these steps are completed. AP Exams and scores eligible for credit Art History Scores of 5 or 4: Earn 6 credits for ART 111 and ART 112.
