Home / Campus News / Auditions for spring semester production of ‘Noises Off’
Jackson College invites students and community members to audition for its spring semester theater production of “Noises Off,” the classic comedy hailed as “the funniest farce ever written.”
Auditions will be held Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 26–27, at 5:30 p.m. in the Ruth Day Theatre at the Potter Center, with callbacks on Wednesday, Jan. 28. Final performances are scheduled for April 10–12, 2026.
“Noises Off,” written by Michael Frayn, offers a hilarious behind-the-scenes look at a traveling theatre troupe struggling to stage the British farce “Nothing On.” From a tense dress rehearsal to a disastrous opening night and a completely unhinged performance, the production spirals into chaos as egos clash, romances unravel and everything that can go wrong does. Missed cues, flubbed lines, technical mishaps and flying sardines abound — yet somehow, the show must go on.
Those interested in auditioning are encouraged to sign up for an audition slot using the provided link. Anyone interested in working on the tech crew, including stage management, sound design, costume crew, etc., are invited to register as well.
This high-energy, fast-paced comedy features slamming doors, physical humor and nonstop laughs, offering a fun and rewarding opportunity for performers to showcase their timing, stamina and comedic skills.
