Bring the family out and learn all about meteors when the Jackson College Astronomical Observatory hosts a Meteor Shower Hour on Saturday, Aug. 9 at 8 p.m. in James McDivitt Hall, Room 151, on Central Campus.

What are meteors? Where do they come from? How can you see them for yourself? These questions and more will be answered during this fun and educational presentation by Astronomical Observatory Coordinator Travis Marlow. The evening will include fascinating information, live demonstrations, and a craft activity. If the weather is clear, guests will also have the opportunity to observe the night sky at the observatory following the presentation. Registration requested, attendance capped at 25 guests.
