Thank you to everyone who submitted their artwork! The contest is held annually, with submission deadlines each April. Check back soon for details about next year’s contest.
Each year, Jackson College hosts a student art contest to celebrate and showcase the creative talents of our students. Winning entries from the Jackson College contest are submitted to the League for Innovation in the Community College national art competition, where they have the opportunity to be recognized alongside student artists from across the country.
The contest typically opens in early spring, with a submission deadline in April. All currently enrolled Jackson College students are eligible to participate, and entries are accepted in a variety of media, including painting, drawing, photography, digital art, and more.
We look forward to seeing next year’s submissions!
Questions should be directed to JC Art Contest Coordinator, Stefanie Koomruian-Matejcik at koomruistefanim@jccmi.edu.

Students currently enrolled in for-credit art classes at League board colleges are eligible to enter the competition. Entries must be original works of art created during enrollment at a participating board college/district. (Dual enrollment high school, early college, and noncredit students are not eligible to participate.)
A jury of Jackson College ART instructors will select five of the submitted artworks to be entered in the League for Innovation in the Community College International Student Art Awards competition. Winners of the JC Art contest will be awarded the following:
