Health Science and Pre-Professional Science is a flexible academic program that prepares students for a wide range of healthcare careers or transfer into advanced health-related degrees. It blends foundational science courses—like biology, chemistry, and anatomy—with healthcare-focused learning to support both hands-on training and academic transfer goals.
At Jackson College, we offer a wide range of degrees and certificates designed to help you achieve your educational and career goals. The following options are available within this program.
This associate degree offers flexible pathways for students preparing to transfer into health-related bachelor’s programs or build on existing credentials.
This certificate introduces students to core science and healthcare concepts while supporting transfer, selective program entry, or short-term employment.
The Health and Pre-Professional Science certificate is a great starting point for students exploring healthcare careers or preparing for further study. With two tracks—one for students planning to transfer into science-based programs and another for those pursuing hands-on healthcare roles—it offers flexibility and focus. You can also earn credentials like Phlebotomy or EKG Technician along the way, helping you build skills and confidence for the next step in your journey.
The Health and Pre-Professional Science associate degree is a flexible option for students planning to transfer into a health-related bachelor’s program or build on existing healthcare credentials. Whether you’re interested in public health, health informatics, or becoming a physician assistant, this degree offers two clear pathways: one focused on university transfer and another that lets you apply certifications like EMT or Medical Assistant toward your degree. It’s a great way to strengthen your science foundation while working toward your long-term career goals.
