Surgical Technology

Jackson College and the Allied Health Department are pleased that you are interested in the Surgical Technology Program. The admission process was established to support student success throughout the Surgical Technology curriculum and to help ensure readiness for clinical practice and professional growth.

  1. Apply to Jackson College: Submit a completed Jackson College admission application. Select Surgical Technology – Associate in Applied Science as your program of study. Applicants must be a high school graduate or have high school equivalency (GED).
  2. Meet with a Student Success Navigator: Schedule an appointment with a navigator for guidance on your academic plan and course sequencing.
  3. Submit Official Transcripts: Send official transcripts from ALL colleges previously attended to the Jackson College Records Office. It is the student’s responsibility to confirm that transcripts have arrived by the specified deadlines.
  4. Submit Program Application by Nov. 15: After your Student Success Navigator has signed the Surgical Technology Application, they will electronically submit it.
  5. Meet Technical Standards: Ensure you meet the Technical Standards for the Surgical Technology program, typically outlined in the program application packet.
