Jackson College will host an information session for area business leaders to learn how to access up to $500,000 in workforce training support through the Michigan New Jobs Training Program (MNJTP).
The employer-only session will take place:
Breakfast will be provided.
The Michigan New Jobs Training Program (MNJTP) is a state initiative designed to help businesses grow by investing in customized employee training. Through a partnership with Jackson College, eligible employers can develop tailored training plans that strengthen workforce skills, support expansion, and enhance overall competitiveness.
Jackson College has already helped local employers access more than $3 million in MNJTP training funds. Individual companies may qualify for up to $500,000 to support new employee training and skill development.
“MNJTP is a powerful tool for employers who want to elevate their workforce without straining their budgets,” said Director of Economic and Workforce Development Amber Collins. “By partnering with the College, businesses can create customized, high-impact training programs aligned with their growth goals.”
The session will provide a clear overview of how the program works, eligibility requirements, funding structure, and the steps to begin a partnership. Employers will have the opportunity to ask questions and explore how MNJTP can support their specific workforce needs.
This event is open to employers only. Advance registration is encouraged. To register, visit www.jccmi.edu/mnjtp-info-session.
