Jackson College uses College Central Network as its official resume and job posting service. Search for job opportunities across the United States, post your resume, target companies and find the right fit. This interactive website connects students and alumni with employers looking for qualified applicants for full-time and part-time positions, internships, and volunteer/service opportunities.

CCN features:

  • Job/internship postings on Jackson College’s exclusive Job Board as well as access to National postings
  • Easy to use Resume Builder, or upload a resume file to easily apply for a position.
  • Build an online portfolio in Career Portfolio Central to support your resume and demonstrate your best work to employers.
  • Review your job search history. Report offers/hires.
  • Receive emails about programs, services and job-related topics.
  • Gain access to announcements, upcoming events, career advice documents, videos, podcast, and articles from over 125 authors.

Jackson College will not post positions of the following nature:

  • Positions that require upfront payments and/or classified as independent consultants.
  • Jobs which require enlistment into any branch of military service. U.S. Military recruiters are not classified as recruiting agencies.

  • Fraudulent Job Postings Warning

    There has been a noted uptick in the number of fraudulent job postings/email offers in the past few years. Jackson College makes every effort to screen employers and job postings on our job board, College Central Network (https://www.collegecentral.com/jccmi/Student.cfm). However, when using any job posting site (indeed.com, mitalentconnect.org, LinkedIn, etc.), it is extremely important to exercise caution.

    Things to be cautious of:

    • Unsolicited e-mails from unknown employers offering you a job opportunity.
    • Any posting that uses an e-mail address or website that may look legitimate, but differs slightly from the real organization’s e-mail address and/or website (e.g. @jccmi.edu could read @jssmi.edu or @jccm.com).
    • Postings that use general email domains such a @google.com @yahoo.com.
    • Postings that have spelling and grammatical errors.
    • Jobs that sounds too good to be true (e.g. earn $2,000/week without leaving your couch!).
    • Requests of any financial transactions (e.g. software fees, application processing fee, initial, investment money, etc.).
    • Early on requests of personal information (e.g., social security numbers, banking information, credit or debit card numbers, PINs, passwords, birthday, address, mother’s maiden name, etc.) that could be used to steal your identity.

    Before applying for a job do your research!

    • Does the company have a website? Does the website match up with the posting? Does the website look legitimate?
    • Google the employer’s phone number, fax number and/or email address. If it does not appear connected to an actual business organization, this is a red flag.
    • Use social media to research each employer (e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
    • Research the company on websites such as Glassdoor.com for feedback and complaints.

    Bottom line, if you have any questions, talk to someone before pursuing any opportunity. If you have concerns about the legitimacy of an employer or posting, please feel free to report your concerns to JC-CCE@jccmi.edu and a member of our team will follow-up.

Jackets for Jets provides access to professional clothing to assist students in their efforts to be ready for the workplace. Jackson College is committed to our students’ success, and that includes helping you dress for success on the job!

  • How does Jackets for Jets work?

    To access the closet, students should set up an appointment with a staff member by e-mailing MarshalHeather@jccmi.edu or by phone at 517.796.8602 ext. 8246. At the appointment, students may take one full outfit which will be theirs to keep. Repeat appointments will be decided based on available inventory.
