Jackson, MI — Michigan Works! Southeast (MWSE), in partnership with Jackson College, is excited to host the upcoming Race to Talent event on Thursday, May 14 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Jackson College Applied Technology Center.Race to Talent is designed to showcase the power of Registered Apprenticeship Programs (RAPs) and their role in strengthening the local workforce. This event will bring together employers, educators, and community partners to explore how apprenticeship programs are helping businesses grow, close skill gaps, and build sustainable talent pipelines.The event will feature a panel discussion with local employers and apprentices who will share real-world insights on how apprenticeship programs have positively impacted their organizations and career pathways. In addition, MWSE will recognize outstanding employer partners with Crystal Awards for their commitment to workforce development and investment in employee training.“Race to Talent is about celebrating the employers who are leading the way in developing talent and creating opportunities right here in our community,” said Stacy Reese, Program Administrator for MWSE. “Apprenticeships are a proven solution for addressing workforce challenges, and this event gives us the opportunity to highlight those successes while helping other employers see what’s possible.”The morning will begin with breakfast and networking at 8:30 AM, followed by the program at 9:00 AM.
