Jackson College and Michigan Works! Southeast have come together to offer select Jackson College programs for little to no cost for eligible participants.

Prospective students can complete a college certificate in 12 months or less, putting them on the road to career opportunities and a brighter future. Those without a high school diploma are eligible for expanded services to help them obtain a high school equivalency certificate while they are pursuing a college degree or certificate.

Eligible Programs

Electric Vehicle Jobs Academy Programs

The State of Michigan has made significant investments in the formation of the Electric Vehicle Jobs Academy (EV Jobs Academy) to develop postsecondary certification and degree programs that meet industry needs and lead to high-skills and high-wage employment opportunities for Michigan residents.

The EV Jobs Academy is designed to provide Michiganders with tuition assistance and supportive services, including “earn while you learn” opportunities through a Registered Apprenticeship, to support and streamline on-ramps to high-wage, in-demand careers.

Adult Education/High School Completion
It’s never too late! Let us help you finish your High School Certificate while starting your college classes.

Computer Support Specialist
Gain this Certificate in as little as 5 months! Learn how to provide technical assistance and support to individuals and organizations that depend on information technology.

Corrections
Gain this Certificate in as little as 12 months! Learn to maintain order within jails or prisons, supervise activities of inmates, report on inmate conduct, help in rehabilitation or counseling of offenders.

Digital Marketing
Gain this Certificate in as little as 12 months! Learn to communicate with the public through platforms that promote content engagement and sharing online.

EMT Basic
Gain this Industry Credential in as little as 4 months! Learn how to provide medical care to patients in times of crisis and gain the experience necessary to prepare for the National Registry Basic EMT Certification exam.

Medical Assistant
Gain this Certificate in as little as 10 months! Learn how to be a multi-skilled health care practitioner trained to work in the business and clinical parts of a medical office, clinic or hospital.

Production Technician
Gain this Industry Credential in as little as 10 months! Learn the core technical competencies of higher skilled production workers in all sectors of manufacturing.
