• About the Textbook Program

  The Textbook Program fee is $70 per course for all registered courses. This fee covers digital courseware and/or textbooks that are provided, BibliU provides approximately 95 percent of all required materials in digital format. The remaining 5 percent of required materials are available in the Jets Store, these materials are out-of-pocket expense or covered in under course material fees these charges can be verified in the “Find your textbook link”.

  If students wish to have a physical book for a class that is available digitally, they may opt out of textbook program by the third day of the class and secure their textbook from another vendor or through the Jets Store. If a student decides to opt-out, they will be opting out of ALL CLASSES for the entire semester. Students that opt-out in the first 7-weeks course will not be able to opt back in for the 2nd 7-week courses. This is an all-in or all-out program. Students are able to use financial aid funds if available in the store to purchase course materials and any supplies covered under financial aid.

  Students can look up their required materials using the “Find Your Textbook link” on the Jets Store site. Students can find the following information: Content (type of material), Content title, Where to Find, Content Edition, Cost, and the ISBN.

  • Included in Textbook Program Fee – Digital Materials provided through BibliU are covered under the “Textbook Access Fee”
  • Included in Course Related Material fee – materials covered when registering for courses.
  • Dollar Amount – Materials that are an out-of-pocket expense. These materials are NOT covered under the “Textbook Access Fee or Course Material Fee”
• Where to Find

  While searching the below table of textbooks you will come across the following methods for accessing your course materials:

  • BibliU- Students will receive the eBook and/or access code when clicking on the BibliU tab on the left-hand side of their Canvas Course. Students will need to copy the access code that will take them to the publisher’s page to access their material, unless other instructions have been given by the instructor. Students need to access BibliU material first using their PC or laptop, before accessing material on the App.
  • Canvas – Students will find their digital materials through their online course in Canvas using the link provided by the instructor.
  • Jets Store– Students have two options to receive this material, they can either stop into the store during business hours to purchase their materials or order their course materials on the Jets Store Website. The Jets Store site will give you two options, either pick up in store or request to have materials shipped. There is a $12 shipping charge if the students choose this option. Courseware Materials (Access Codes) will be emailed to the student upon purchase.
  • OER– Material is found in BibliU Library
• Content Type

  The following textbook types are available. You can find your textbook type by searching the table below.

  • Courseware – Software or platform i.e., MyMathLab, MyLab, MindTap.
  • eBook – Digital version of Textbook in BibliU Library
  • Physical Textbook/Bundle – Physical Material (Available in the Jets Store)
  • OER – Digital Material in BibliU Library
• How to Access material with access code

  Steps for Students:

  1. In Canvas, locate the courseware shell for your class in your library.

  2. Click on the courseware shell to reveal your access code.

  3. Click “Copy Code”—this will open the publisher’s website.

  4. Create an account using your Jackson College email and enter the access code to begin.

• Troubleshooting

  If you’re having trouble accessing your course materials, follow these steps:

  BibliU Issues

  Error Message, Page Not Found, or Blank Screen:

  1. MacBook users: Use Firefox browser.

  2. PC users: Use Chrome or Firefox.

  3. Sign out of all pages and clear browser history.

  4. Log in and click the BibliU link.

  “Access Code Already Redeemed” Message:

  • Take a screenshot and email JetsStore@jccmi.edu from your Jackson College email.

  • Include your course and section number (e.g., ENG 132 01).

  Canvas Issues

  • Students must register with publisher sites using their Jackson College email.
