Country music hitmaker’s anniversary tour stops at Potter Center Feb. 28
The Potter Center at Jackson College will welcome country music favorite Phil Vassar to its stage at 7 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2026, as part of his “25 Years of Paradise” Tour, celebrating the 25th anniversary of his breakout hit, “Just Another Day in Paradise.”
Known as country music’s leading piano man, Vassar has earned 10 No. 1 singles and more than two dozen Top 40 hits, including “Carlene,” “Six-Pack Summer,” and “Just Another Day in Paradise.” His piano-driven sound blends heartfelt storytelling with melodies influenced by artists such as Billy Joel, Elton John, and Bruce Hornsby.
The anniversary tour features a mix of chart-topping hits, fan favorites, and piano-powered covers, with setlists that evolve nightly. A gifted songwriter as well as performer, Vassar has penned hits for Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw, Jo Dee Messina, and others, earning multiple ASCAP Songwriter of the Year honors.
After a health scare in 2023, Vassar returned to the stage with renewed energy and gratitude. That sense of joy and connection is at the heart of his live performances. “When I go on stage, the world fades away, and it’s just about having fun and connecting with the fans,” he says.
With nine albums, decades of chart success, and a career defined by authenticity and resilience, Phil Vassar continues to prove that great songs — and great stories — endure.
Tickets start at $35 and are available through Potter Center Box Office, 517.796.8600 or www.jccmi.edu/potter-center/events/phil-vassar/.
