The Associate in General Studies (GEST.AGS) is a flexible, interdisciplinary degree designed to be tailored to each student’s unique goals, interests, and abilities. With a broad general education core and room for electives, students have the freedom to explore multiple fields or focus on a specific area of interest. This makes the degree an ideal choice for those still deciding on a major or seeking to build skills in multiple disciplines. Writing Experience I

An intensive course in written composition with emphasis on the writing process, focus and development of the essay, and critical reading. The course teaches students to write clear, coherent essays appropriate to college-level writing and to read and respond critically to texts.

Environmental Science

This course explores the relationships between people and their environment, and how the natural world works. Topics include population ecology, biodiversity, natural resources, pollution, climate change, and sustainability.
