This degree prepares students to transfer and pursue careers in science, health, engineering, or medicine.
The Associate in Science is ideal for students planning to transfer and pursue a bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or health-related fields. This degree provides a strong foundation in math and science while preparing you for further study in competitive and in-demand careers. Whether you’re interested in engineering, medicine, biology, or other STEM fields, this program offers the courses and flexibility to support your goals. A one-semester introduction to biology for non-majors, emphasizing the scientific method and basic biological principles. Topics include cell structure and function, genetics, ecology, and evolution. Labs reinforce concepts with hands-on activities.
Introduces geology, meteorology, oceanography, and astronomy. Emphasizes Earth processes, scientific method, energy resources, and environmental issues. Suitable for non-science majors.
Covers atomic theory, matter structure, bonding, stoichiometry, reactions, solutions, thermochemistry, and gas laws. Designed for science, pre-professional, and engineering students. Includes lab experiments that support lecture topics.
