Develop creative and technical skills in photography, editing, and visual storytelling for digital media careers.
The Digital Photography program at Jackson College provides students with the foundational skills necessary for a successful career in photography. From mastering digital cameras to learning industry-standard editing software, students will gain the technical expertise needed to create captivating visual content. The curriculum covers lighting techniques, composition, and digital imaging, while also offering opportunities to specialize in areas such as portrait photography, advertising, and photojournalism. An introduction to the basic visual elements and principles of design. Emphasis on creative problem-solving, critical thinking, and effective visual communication using two-dimensional media.
