About the Program

The Digital Photography program at Jackson College provides students with the foundational skills necessary for a successful career in photography. Two-Dimensional Design

An introduction to the basic visual elements and principles of design. Emphasis on creative problem-solving, critical thinking, and effective visual communication using two-dimensional media.

Graphic Imaging

Focuses on the use of industry-standard graphic software to create and manipulate images. Topics include scanning, color correction, photo editing, and digital illustration techniques.

Digital Photography I

An introductory course in digital photography. Topics include camera operation, image composition, lighting, editing techniques, and digital workflow. Emphasizes creative exploration and technical proficiency.

Integrated Design

Emphasizes combining various media and design disciplines into unified, professional projects. Students will create print and digital materials that demonstrate design integration and strategic communication.
