Home / Services & Support / Specialized Support / Occupational Support Occupational Support Program The Occupational Support Program is designed to help students overcome barriers, stay in school, and achieve their career goals. We provide support services, resource referrals, customized workshops, and life skills guidance tailored to your needs. Services Offered Our dedicated staff can assist you with: Transitioning into college life Financial assistance for tuition, fees, and required books Counseling and referrals to community resources, including: Assessment testing and evaluation Tutoring services Career guidance, including information on non-traditional careers Students can access these services independently or through referrals from college staff, faculty, high school counselors, or social service agencies. Eligibility Requirements To qualify for Occupational Support, you must: Be enrolled in one of the eligible degree or certificate programs listed below Belong to one of the Special Populations groups Special Populations Special Populations Single Parents and/or Single Pregnant WomenIndividuals with sole or joint custody of a child and/or expecting a child. Non-Traditional Career TraineesStudents pursuing careers in fields traditionally underrepresented by their gender. Individuals with Limited English ProficiencyStudents whose primary language is not English and who face challenges in communication. Individuals with DisabilitiesStudents with physical or mental impairments affecting major life activities. Economically DisadvantagedStudents receiving need-based financial assistance or from low-income backgrounds. Homeless IndividualsStudents without stable, regular, and adequate housing. Youth in or Aged Out of Foster CareStudents who have experienced foster care placements. Out-of-Workforce IndividualsStudents who are under-employed, unemployed, or transitioning back into the workforce.
