Writing Experience I

Develops skills in writing for a variety of purposes and audiences. Emphasis on the writing process, critical thinking, and structure, with frequent writing and revision.

Short Story & Novel

Explores major forms of prose fiction with focus on analysis and interpretation. Students read, discuss, and write about classic and contemporary short stories and novels.

Advanced Composition

Builds on foundational composition skills with emphasis on research, argumentation, and analytical writing. Includes reading and writing about complex texts and ideas.

Children’s Literature

Surveys literature written for children and adolescents. Emphasizes analysis of texts and understanding of literary elements, genres, and themes in children’s books.
