Step inside the O.R. at Surgical Technologist Open House

Get hands-on in a surgical operating room and perhaps discover your future when Jackson College hosts a Surgical Technologist Open House on Thursday, Sept. 24, from noon to 3 p.m. in the Medical Simulation Center in Justin Whiting Hall.

All current and prospective surgical technology students are welcome at this informative, hands-on event.

Surgical technologists work alongside surgeons, nurses and other healthcare professionals in the operating room. This open house will give students an exciting, hands-on look at the operating room environment. Interactive stations will highlight different aspects of the surgical technologist’s role, and the skills students will develop in the program.

Students will also have an opportunity to interact with surgical technology faculty and fellow students and ask questions about the program, clinical experiences, certification and career opportunities.

The event will also feature a raffle with prizes, giveaways and light refreshments.

Explore this important and rewarding healthcare field during this free event at Jackson College.
