These committees include: Assessment Committee This evidence-based committee’s primary role is to ensure that academic programs and courses are effectively evaluating student achievement and using this data to inform continuous improvement efforts. This includes developing assessment policies, supporting faculty in the implementation of assessment strategies, reviewing assessment data, and making recommendations to enhance educational quality and student success. Co- Chairs: Todd Butler Scott Britten Curriculum Committee Reviews and approves new and revised courses, programs, and academic policies. The Committee ensures that the curriculum aligns with the College’s mission, meets accreditation standards, and responds to the evolving needs of students and the community. It plays a critical role in maintaining academic integrity, promoting innovation in teaching and learning , and ensuring that educational offerings remain current, relevant, and of high quality. Co- Chairs: Jon Powell Kristin Stockbridge Program and Pathway Committee Responsible for overseeing the continuous evaluation and development of academic programs to ensure they meet the current and future needs of students and stakeholders. The committee ensures that all programs maintain academic integrity, align with the college’s mission, vision, and strategic goals, and are responsive to changes in industry, technology, and educational standards. Co- Chairs: Lindsay Mercer Jamie Vandenburgh Learner Success and Achievement Committee Focused on identifying and addressing educational gaps and disparities among students. The committee analyzes academic and support structures to ensure the College meets the diverse needs of learners and promotes equitable outcomes. This involves reviewing data on student performance, implementing strategies to close achievement gaps, and recommending improvements to enhance overall student success. Co- Chairs: Jamie Shepard Ashley Van Heest Faculty Professional Development Committee Dedicated to facilitating learning opportunities for all faculty members that enhance the teaching and learning process. The committee identifies and organizes professional development activities, workshops, and resources that support faculty in improving instructional practices, staying current with educational trends, and fostering student success. The committee helps to ensure that the college maintains high standards of teaching excellence and innovation.
