Beginner Wheel – Thrown Ceramics

Learn in a beginner-friendly environment the basic concept and techniques of wheel-thrown ceramics through visual and hands-on demonstrations. Learn step by step how to create a usable vessel on the pottery wheel and experience the complete process from start to finish on how to make your own mug. Clay wedging, wheel throwing, glazing, handle building, and ways to decorate your piece will all be demonstrated. Please wear appropriate clothing for working with art materials. Instructions for picking up your project will be discussed at the workshop. Ceramics is a multi-step process. We try our best to avoid breakage but cannot be held responsible if accidents or breakage occurs. Cost: $165.
