Poetry Out Loud

If you are a high school student and love poetry – this is for you! The Liberal Arts Department is proud to host our third annual Poetry Out Loud competition right here on Jackson College Central Campus. Poetry Out Loud is a partnership of Michigan Humanities, Michigan Arts and Culture Council, and the National Endowment for the Arts. High school students select works of poetry from the online anthology and meaningfully recite their selection for a panel of judges. The winner of our local competition will advance to the State Finals on February 19-20 at Central Michigan University’s campus.

If you are interested in signing up to recite, please contact taylorholly@jccmi.edu.
