Vascular Sonography

Vascular sonographers use advanced ultrasound technology to assess blood flow and detect circulatory issues. Jackson College’s accredited Vascular Sonography program blends classroom learning with up to 1,000 hours of supervised clinical experience. Students gain the skills to perform vascular exams such as carotid, venous, and arterial scans, while developing a strong foundation in hemodynamics and patient care. Graduates are eligible for national certification and can pursue careers in hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic imaging facilities.

Associate in Applied Science

Trains students to perform vascular ultrasound procedures and prepares them for national certification and employment.

About the Program

The Vascular Sonography program at Jackson College combines theoretical knowledge, laboratory work, and clinical practice to give students a robust education in vascular ultrasound. Students will learn to perform diagnostic imaging procedures that assess blood flow and vascular conditions, including carotid duplex scanning, including but not limited to, carotid duplex, lower and upper extremity arterial and venous duplex exams. The program also emphasizes patient care, safety protocols, and maintaining accurate records. Graduates will be equipped to enter the workforce as competent vascular sonographers in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, medical clinics, and imaging centers.
