Through a network of involvements and relationships with legislators, community college groups, business and community leaders, Dr. Phelan actively shares the importance of community college education for today’s students, the importance of state and federal funding for creating innovative programming and advocates for legislation vital to the future of community colleges. Senate Bill No. 1055: A bill which would amend the Community College Act to let community colleges offer a bachelor of science in nursing degree.
