Maroon & Gold Standard-Bearer Award

The Maroon & Gold Standard-Bearer Award recognizes a Jackson College employee whose sustained actions and exceptional contributions reflect our shared promise to one another. This recognition is about more than one accomplishment it celebrates the way someone consistently shows up for others.

  • Demonstrating excellence and reliability through exceptional service, human first behavior, follow-through, dependability, and thoughtful problem-solving.
  • Leading with integrity and stewardship by showing accountability, sound judgment, and care for the trust and resources placed in them.
  • Honoring human dignity and connection through compassion, respect, honest communication, collaboration, and care for others.
  • Strengthening mission and shared purpose by contributing to the greater good of the College and engaging others constructively and respectfully.
  • Learning, innovating, and adapting by continuing to grow, improve processes, or help the College respond thoughtfully to changing needs.

Help us recognize someone who brings the Maroon & Gold Standards to life! Nominations should be 400 words or fewer and may include a single story or example that highlights multiple qualities. We especially encourage stories about the everyday actions and behaviors that show how someone consistently embodies these standards.

Nominations will be open from November through mid-December. The recipient will receive a $1,000 award, supported by the Foundation, and will be recognized annually at Spring Convocation.

Any employee who has completed their first 90 days of employment is eligible to be nominated.
