Distance Education and State Authorization Disclosures

State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA)

Jackson College is approved by the State of Michigan to participate in the National Council
for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). NC-SARA is a voluntary
agreement that establishes national standards for interstate distance education.
Participation in SARA allows Jackson College to offer distance education programs to
students in other SARA member states without needing individual state approval. A current

Professional Licensure Disclosure

Students considering pursuing an academic program that leads to professional licensure
are advised that Jackson College’s programs prepare students to practice in the state of
Michigan and are not intended to prepare students for out of state licensure. Students
enrolled in Jackson College’s programs seeking to practice outside the state of Michigan
are advised to contact the appropriate licensing agency within their home state to seek
information and additional guidance before beginning a program outside of their home
state.

Student Complaint Process for Out-of-State Distance Education Students

Jackson College is committed to resolving student concerns and complaints in a fair and
timely manner. Students should first attempt to resolve complaints by following the
Jackson College Student Grievance Process, starting with the Student Resolution

regarding academic quality, institutional integrity, or other accreditation-related issues can
