Music, marching and fun are on the program for the 2025 Jackson College Summer Band Camp, welcoming young musicians who are pre-high school level! Campers can grow their skills, meet new friends, and have fun making music together, set for June 23-26 and June 30-July 4.
Daily sessions include concert band, sectionals, marching band practice, small-group rehearsals, and even snack time in a positive and laughter-filled atmosphere. Under the direction of Dan Bickel, the camp encourages student song requests, musical games, and creativity throughout. Designed with a one-room schoolhouse approach, the camp connects each student with experienced JC music mentors, placing them within two chairs of an expert on their instrument. With nearly 20 college musicians guiding the way, campers explore exciting music selections inspired by video games, TV shows, commercials and pop culture.
The camp concludes with two live performances: a concert on July 3 on Central Campus, and a featured appearance in the July 4 parade in Brooklyn, MI.
Cost: $125
