Center for Student Success:
The Center for Student Success (CSS) at JC’s Central Campus is here to help you succeed in your college studies both academically and personally. CSS offers a variety of services including free tutoring for enrolled students in our drop-in learning lab, the Writing Center, special software, free workshops, accommodations for students with documented disabilities, mental health referrals, and special events. CSS is staffed by faculty, peer tutors and support staff who are committed to your success. Support services are available at all JC locations.

Community Resources

American Red Cross of South Central Michigan:
The American Red Cross will provide relief to victims of disaster and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.

Aware, Inc.:
AWARE empowers survivors of domestic and sexual violence by providing shelter, services and programs.

Central Michigan 2-1-1:
2-1-1 provides callers with information about and referrals to human services for every day needs and in times of crisis.

Community Action Agency:

Community Foreclosure Coalition:
The Community Foreclosure Coalition is a nonprofit coalition of community partners in Jackson, Lenawee and Hillsdale counties who are working together to stop preventable foreclosures and to soften their effects on families, neighborhoods and our local communities. We connect homeowners, renters and neighbors with information and resources, and we advocate for change to stop foreclosures here in our own back yard.

disAbility Connections:
disAbility Connections assists and advocates on behalf of individuals and families who deal with the effects of disease and disAbility.

LifeWays is an organization that manages the behavioral health treatment and services for Jackson and Hillsdale county residents who meet requirements for eligibility.

South Central Michigan Works:
South Central Michigan Works brings together public and private sector groups in Hillsdale, Jackson, and Lenawee counties to help employers recruit, develop, and keep skilled workers. We also help students and jobseekers build their skills and connect them to quality jobs. Our focus is on ensuring that the South Central Michigan region develops and sustains prosperity based on strong employers with a supply of competent and skilled workers.
