54th Annual Rose Run steps off June 8; register now!

Get ready for an exciting day of running, walking, and family fun at the 2024 Jackson Rose Run, taking place on Saturday, June 8, at Jackson College’s Central Campus! This year’s event, part of the Orthopaedic Rehab Specialists Race Series, will include a 10-mile run, 10K and 5K runs, a 5K walk, and a Kids Fun Run! Virtual options are available for those who cannot attend.
The events will kick off at 7:30 a.m. with the 10-mile run. The 10K, 5K run, and 5K walk will start at 8:00, 8:01, and 8:02 a.m. respectively. Kids fun run starts about 9:30 a.m. Gather at the Jets Hangar, located on the south side of the campus off Browns Lake Road. The cost is $35 through June 7 and $40 on race day, June 8. Virtual 10-mile, 10K and 5K runs are $15.
Jeff and Tina Beagle are organizing this year’s event, which will support the Jackson College Jets women’s soccer team. This marks the 54th year for the event; Jeff Beagle recalls years past when the run started at the College and ended at Ella Sharp Park, and then started at the park and ended at the College. With the current courses around the College, runners and walkers will want to get some practice and training in beforehand because the “gently rolling hills” can be a challenge!
“We want this to be the best run it can be! We’ll have a great sound system with music. Come on out – we would love to see hundreds take part!” Beagle said.
Registration Details
Tech-style T-shirts available to runners and walkers (limited quantities). Overall Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers of Open (all ages), and Masters (40+), in the 5K Run, 5K Walk and 10K Run. Age Groups Awards to the top 3 places in each age group:
- 5K Run age groups: 0-12, 13-14, 15-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49,50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69. 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85+
- 5K Walk age groups: 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
Register online at https://www.orsraceseries.com/2024-ors-race-schedule. Packet pickup will be Friday, June 7 from 2-7 p.m. at the Jets Hangar. The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be live during the race and available on this website.
