Safety & security officers needed: College to host job fair over 2 days, Aug. 5 & 10

Jackson College will host job fairs specifically for safety and security officers on Saturday, Aug. 5, and Thursday, Aug. 10 on Central Campus. Interested applicants may attend either date.

This rewarding work is an opportunity to assist young adults in their journey for higher education while providing assistance and guidance in keeping the Jackson College community safe. Safety and security officers provide personal, equipment and real property security services on campus. They remain alert and prepared to respond in emergency situations, providing first-line response, emergency management and/or referral. Officers also provide escort services and basic public assistance as needed, as well as conducting routine patrols.

Several part-time and full-time positions are available, with various shifts, including overnight, weekends and special events. Jackson College offers a full benefit package for full-time officers with starting wages of $41,600 annually, 16 paid holidays, medical, dental and vision insurance and up to three weeks paid vacation the first year of employment; part-time officers receive competitive wages, tuition credits and paid time off.
