Service Strong: Strengthening Mental Health for Military Connected Families set for May 28

May 20, 2024

College and community members are invited to join in a meaningful initiative to empower our military-connected community entitled Service Strong: Strengthening Mental Health for Military-Connected Families, in the Bert Walker Hall Community Rooms, 144-145, Tuesday, May 28.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. a moving and informational exhibit will be set up with a mix of 22 pairs of combat boots and shoes, with statistics related to mental health among military personnel. Learn about some of the issues facing our veterans and families, as May is Military Appreciation Month and Mental Health Awareness Month. Guests will have the opportunity to lift an Alice pack representing the “weight” that veterans and their families may carry. Military-affiliated vendors will provide information in the Community Rooms.

All are invited to this free event!
