There’s something for everyone, whether you love sports, art, or learning new things. Our programs and camps are designed to help you have a great time while developing skills and making new friends. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to have an incredible summer at Jackson College!
Summer Theatre Camp
June 17 – 20 • June 24 – 27
6 – 8 p.m.
Ages: 14+
Dive into the exciting world of improvisational theatre where quick thinking, teamwork, and imaginative storytelling take center stage. Explore improvisation methods used at Chicago’s Second City to perform a scripted scene.
Girls High School Basketball Varsity Team Shootout
June 18 & 20 • 5 p.m.
Area girls high school varsity teams are invited to come and compete against other varsity teams in the area. Each team is guaranteed 3 games in the shootout. The shootout is hosted by Jackson College women’s basketball team and coaches.
Girls Basketball Elite Camp
June 19 • 4 – 10 p.m.
Ages: Girls grades 9 – 12
Open to all 9-12 grade girls interested in advancing their basketball skills. Cost is $50 per player which includes a t shirt. This is a great opportunity to work with college coaches and players and learn about our basketball program.
Boys Baseball Camp
June 24 – 25 • 9 a.m. – 12 noon
Ages: Boys 6 – 13
Baseball camp will teach fundamental skills in the sport – catching, batting, pitching, fielding, rules of the game and more. Boys can develop and their overall fitness while having fun with others.
Summer Band Camp
June 24 – 28 • July 1 – 4
At summer band camp, students are transported into a world of musical adventure where the air buzzes with excitement and creativity! During this 8-day camp, students will play fun and creative music, learn more about their instruments, better recognize fingerings, notes, and scales, and participate in live concerts.
Summer Art Camp
July 16 – 18 • 9 – 11 a.m.
Ages: 8 – 13
Ignite your child’s passion for creativity during this summer art camp designed for budding artists aged 8 to 13! This immersive experience promises an exciting exploration of various artistic mediums and techniques under the guidance of our skilled instructor.
High Tech Making Camp
July 29 – Aug. 2 • 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Ages: 11 – 15
Get ready for an epic adventure at Jackson College’s five-day camp, created just for you in partnership with the Shop Rat Foundation and the Nuts, Bolts, and Thingamajigs Association! Imagine diving deep into the exciting world of entrepreneurship, where every idea is a potential business venture waiting to happen!
Junior Chef Cooking Corner
Aug. 7 • 6 – 8 p.m.
Ages: 9 – 14
Embark on a delicious culinary adventure in our two-hour cooking class designed specifically for young chefs aged 9 to 14! Join us in our vibrant and welcoming kitchen as we dive into the exciting world of comfort food classics.
