Scholarships
Jackson Community College Foundation offers dozens of private scholarships each year, providing approximately $200,000 in aid for students. Private scholarships are awarded based on criteria set by our donors.
To apply for these scholarships, please contact the Financial Aid Office at JCC to complete the necessary forms.
Applications need to be turned into the Financial Aid Office before the specific deadline dates listed below:

For second year fall semester students pursuing an accounting degree.Requirements:

For Jackson County residents pursuing a bachelor's degree with an emphasis on the arts and humanities field.Requirements:

Automotive
- The Michigan Automotive Compressor, Incorporated Scholarship
For students pursuing an associate degree or transfer undergraduate degree for Manufacturing Engineering or Technology, Industrial Engineering or Technology, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Business, Physical or Natural Sciences. Based on academic accomplishment, financial need considered secondary.Requirements:

For students who have completed basic flight instruction and are pursuing commercial/complex aircraft training.Requirements:

Requirements:
- For Lenawee County residents who utilize JCC @ LISD TECH as their primary educational institution/facility.
- This award may be given to a full-time and/or part-time student.
- Jennifer Lynne Murphy Scholarship
Requirements:
- To be used to pay academic expenses (tuition, fees, books, etc.).
- This award shall be given to a full-time and/or part-time student.
- For a graduating senior from Addison High School.
- Preference shall be given to a student who has been involved in extra-curricular and/or community service activities during his/her high school career.
- Students must submit a letter of recommendation authored by a staff and/or faculty member of Addison High School.
- American Association of University Women Scholarship
Requirements:
- Preference shall be given to a non-traditional, female student who has achieved "sophomore" status.
- For students who intend to transfer to a 4-year institution upon completion of their associates degree.
- For Lenawee County residents who utilize JCC @ LISD TECH as their primary educational institution/facility.
- Kiwanis Club of Adrian Scholarship
Requirements:
- For Lenawee County residents who utilize JCC @ LISD TECH as their primary educational institution/facility.

- Bill “Mooch” Richmond Scholarship
Requirements:
- Preference shall be given to a full-time student(s) with financial need. Preference shall be given to Jackson, Hillsdale and/or Lenawee County residents.
- Students must have achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale. This will be true of all students: high school GPA for first-year students and past college GPA for transfer students will meet this standard. Current students must establish and maintain this standard at JCC.
- Students applying for this award must write an essay describing their professional goals. It should address how they’ve overcome and learned from the challenges they’ve faced. Students who wish to be considered for a second year must write an essay describing what they’ve learned during their first year and how it impacts their professional goals.
- Recipients are asked to volunteer a minimum of 50 hours community service during the academic year in which they’ve received the award. Students should contact JCC’s Center for Student Success for volunteer opportunities.

- Citizen Patriot Snowflake Scholarship
Requirements:
- Open only to Subscribers, or children of subscribers, to the Jackson Citizen Patriot newspaper.
- Resident of Jackson, Lenawee, or Hillsdale County.
- 3.0 GPA from high school and maintain 3.0 GPA at JCC, as well as continued subscription to Cit Pat, for renewal consideration.

Requirements:
- Preference shall be given to full-time, “first generation” college students with financial need who are majoring in science. Preference shall be given to Jackson, Hillsdale and/or Lenawee County residents.
