Office 365 Security Changes – Installing Office 365
Jackson College has started to make security changes that may cause versions of Office that are earlier than Office 2016 to not be able to connect to our Microsoft 365 environment. These changes will also impact other mail clients typically pre-installed with the operating system. To ensure that you are not impacted by these change please follow the directions below to install the latest version of Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) on your personal device.
There will be more changes in the future to ensure the safety and security of our Jackson College users and data. These future changes will limit the accessibility of our Microsoft 365 environment from older and less secure software and technology. Information Technology will communicate how these future changes will impact our operations and will recommend the best path to follow to leverage the full functionality of our Microsoft 365 environment.
